Krakow cellars come in two very different flavours. In the tenement houses of Stare Miasto, Kazimierz and Podgórze you descend into brick, often damp cellars down narrow stairs with no lift, and the van parks far from the gate — which is why our photo-based quote asks about carrying distance and vehicle access. In the blocks of Krowodrza, Bronowice and Nowa Huta the standard is a tenant storage unit in the basement corridor: small but packed to the ceiling, usually cleared when the flat is sold or when the housing co-op or community demands it.
